Canadians want a national botanical garden for an attractive walking destination, a national survey conducted by Nanos Research shows.

Canadensis has a vision for such a world-class attraction.

But we have other extraordinary news. You can already take a memorable walk on the stunning site of the future « Canadensis: The Garden of Canada. »

The site has some exciting attractions:

  • The great Red Barn is a throwback to another era in agriculture.
  • futuristic sun shelter designed by students at the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism at Carleton University.
  • Several gripping art installations such as « Beehaven, » with its mammoth white frame ideal for selfies and group portraits.
  • And much more.

Paths lead to the nearby Fletcher Wildlife Garden, the Arboretum and Hartwells Locks on the historic Rideau Canal. Limited parking is available at either location or at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum north on Prince of Wales.
