Celebrate National Tree Day at Canadensis Garden!
Join us for a day of hands-on activities and exploration as we celebrate trees at every stage of life — from seeds and seedlings to newly planted trees and the magnificent mature trees growing throughout Canadensis.
Explore – National Tree Day Photo Hunt
Families can head out on our National Tree Day Photo Hunt, a fun, self-guided activity encouraging kids to explore the Garden and take a closer look at the trees and natural world around them.
Scan the QR code for six photo challenges or pick up a printed copy at the welcome table. Children who complete the hunt can return to the table to receive tree seeds, a colourful pot and instructions for growing their own tree.
Plant — Help Grow the Garden
Help plant trees at Canadensis, taking part in supervised planting and helping to grow the Garden.
Discover — Mature Tree Tour
Join Gérald Lajeunesse for a 45-minute Mature Tree Tour, discovering some of the remarkable established trees growing throughout Canadensis and what makes them particularly interesting.

Learn — From Seed to Tree
Learn about the Canadensis Native Tree Nursery and how trees are grown from seed right here at the Garden.
Share — Trees for the Community
Our National Tree Day celebration will reach beyond Canadensis. Native tree seedlings grown at Canadensis will be shared with community groups for planting elsewhere, helping more trees take root across our community.
